Logipad Overview
Logipad offers a structured solution. The general concept of Logipad is to update and maintain the content and data on physical Class-I or Class-II devices.
This content includes operations such as charting, performance, documentation, electronic forms, training etc.
First, the relevant ground people provide the content. The performance engineer offers all updates of the performance databases and navigation department provides new charting revisions. This indicates that any updated content is available on the ground.
As a first step, all this content needs to be uploaded to the Logipad Ground Services. The Ground Services provide a defined and standarized process, on how to test and deploy new data to the system.
The ground process handles all data from all different software suppliers in the same way. Any Ground Services new released data are automatically pushed to the attached devices.
Class-I devices can be connected and automatically updated via local network, WiFi or 3G connection.
On the other hand Class-II devices are updated via encrypted USB Flashdrives, 3G connections or any other Gatelink connections. Logipad also supports to Class-I devices into Class-II laptop docking stations.
Finally, all logging information is collected at the synchronization and imported into the reporting database. This logging information is accessible by compliance reports to prove the different revisions of all data on all devices.
