Class-II Solution
Logipad meets the challenge to update and maintain data on Class-II devices. Class-II devices are physically connected to the cockpit.
Therefore, any solution that updates content on such devices, needs to handle different media to transmit information into the cockpit.
It is a complicated problem for airlines to get a reliable network connection into the cockpit. Logipad seeks to minimize this issue by offering two ways on updating devices.
The first way is to use existing communication channles like 3G or Gatelink to provide an automatic update of the device. However, most of the airlines currently do not have an existing communication to the cockpit.
Therefore as a second way, Logipad offers the ability to update the devices via encrypted flash drive. As the security and reliability requirements are very high for Class-II devices, Logipad guarantees that only aircraft related content is available on the devices.
For easy access of information, Logipad provides a Class-II optimized Graphical User Interface (GUI) with easy and fast access of information.
The GUI supports landscape and portrait mode, while the Class-II optimized software keyboard guarantees an easy way in order to directly enter information.
